File Transfer from old PC to new PC

Hi,
     I just bought a new Windows 7 PC because I still like W7. I want to transfer my applications, i.e. programs & exe 's etc. from the old one to the new. I'm not talking about just copying files. I want pretty much everything or to be able to select, I may or may not have the CD's because some stuff was downloaded. If you have done this, what software with USB have you used?
